Elevations
At Ratcliff Land and Engineering Surveys, we also produce accurate elevations of a building or structure.
These plans are frequently used as part of a building application, or as an integral part of a renovation project.
Our surveyors have experience in measuring and drawing elevations of various types of structures. This can be done via non contact ( E.G. reflectorless EDM's, laser measuring devices) or through hands on methods.
The purpose of the survey may define how the main elements of the elevation are illustrated and adhere to the clients requirements. Elevations and floor plans are associated with each other at a fundemental level, therefore our drawings will always reflect this. Assuming we have the associated internal floor plans, these will form a principle template from which the elevations are created. This ensures plotting consistancies between the elements of the building and accuracy can be demonstrated when producing the final elevation.
The amount of detail surveyed is determined by our clients and varies from minimal/basic elevation information, to full aesthetic features. Editing is sometimes aided by the taking of photographs which are issued with the drawings as per the clients request.
Our internal and elevation surveys are issued in AutCAD format, usually at a scale of 1:100 (dependant on the size and nature of the project) and are emailed or reproduced on paper or CD.
